They are reputable, but expensive and have lots of stock you can't find elsewhere.
I see you are in the UK - I have family there and am leaving for Heathrow tomorrow.
I could have bought you over some parts and will do so in future. my email is email@example.com. I am also restoring a '54F100
I have read about a few guys on here that were not pleased with the work done at his shop. I have bought very few parts from them, but it was across the counter,No problems. I can fully recommend "Mid-Fifty F100 Parts" in Arizona.
I bought some small stuff over the counter there and not had any problems, but I will say that he seems to think that alot of his used parts are made of gold. I went to see if he'd trade a damn near perfect 56 grille for one of his 55's - they wouldn't make the deal since bob himself wasn't there. When I inquired about just buying a 55 grill from him he was asking $350 for a VERY rough one. I ended up buying a $50 one off ebay. I prefer mid fifty.
The guys a Prat & will screw you over if you don't watch him closely.
Better off w/ John's F-Funhundred in Anaheim.
i've called john's f funhundred 3 times to find out if i can walk in and get parts, all 3 times no one answered and all 3 times i left a message and received no call backs....... and these were several days apart.
Never had that happen.
Everytime I've called 3 rings & a pick-up.
Very friendly, helpfull & whenever I've asked to speak to John directly he was on the phone instantly.
Now if you called this time of year, it could be that they are away the Holidays.
He certainly has the parts. I have spoken to him,but never bought from him.
I always have a need for doors and running boards and tailgates, etc and would like used. Problem is always shipping. If we could find a way to get those California parts and trucks to Ohio/Pa/Mich. we would have a truckload of money....Bill
oh...I am thinking of a trip and doing just that....
