Oil Bath air cleaner?
Joe, Oil bath cleaners go way back and preceed the paper filter. How to clean, gasoline works well, a couple of passes should do it.
I have changed my engines over to paper.

In the still cool hours of the night, you can hear chevys rusting away.

Joe, Very easy to clean, just remove from carb drain out the oil, slush some gas around in it, drain out, swipe it out and air dry for a 20-30 minutes or so. That's if its been running lately, if not should emerse in a bucket of gas or solvent overnight, swipe it out and air dry for a day, should do the trick, remount and refill with 30w to full line and your ready. You change the oil in it when you change the oil in the truck. Well at least that's what my Old man did with the 1953 he had 30 some years ago. :-)
