What is funny to me is when guys post pics of trucks, etc for sale....and the floor is full of crap......and the bed is full of crap.......and the truck can barely be seen because of all the weeds.......and they say how awesome and clean it is.......and you cannot even see the real truck through all the crap!
That is just plain lazy. Clean the thing up and mow the grass....and take some pics that we can actually see and decide how much less to pay for it,than you want for it....LOL

It belonged to his father and has been sitting in a field under a big tree since 1974.

Guy has a way with words to make a piece of cr** sound like perfume. "let the pictures fill in the gaps...". Me thinks it would take a lot of metal not pictures to fill in all the gaps in that thing.
How long before we see the newbee post here with that picture that says I just got this new project to restore, should I fix the holes with patch panels or pictures?

Not a California truck, but I bet there are alot of good parts on that ole girl!
I would pay 300 for it and haul it home if it was a 56....and close by. Some of the pos you find in the backyards and fields in Ohio/Pa will make you vomit.....LOL

I know that for a fact! That doesn't mean that you have to buy a POS as a project start, there are plenty of good solid Effies in drier climes. Even if you have to travel/ship a solid start from across the country you are money way ahead doing so. A couple thousand $ doesn't go very far when you start having to repair/replace major body sections eaten away by the northern salty metal moths. Best thing we did was to go to the SW to get Gracie. If someone wants to buy it and strip it for parts to sell to finance their own project, all the more power to them, there just isn't much sheetmetal there that's worth repairing IMHO.
