PowerStroke to Bronco Swap

This is simply a hypothetical question

How complicated would it be to swap a 7.3 Powerstroke, tranny, suspension and computer from a donor SuperDuty to an early '90s Full sized Bronco. Keep in mind strictly a hypothetical question!!! Obviously the drive shaft would have to be shortened, but i am curious what all would be involved!

I've seen it done. There was a Silver 90s Bronco with a PSD at the Silver Lake Sand Dunes. I didn't get to look under the hood because it was just driving around. I know for a fact that it was a PSD because it had a Powerstroke sticker on the back tailgate and it smoked when it was climbing the dunes.

I have heard of it being done but never talked to anyone who has attempted it. Nice paint job BTW

Its been done a few times

Other Powerstroke Broncos - Powerstroke Nation

Be nice to have another local one. There is one 76 down here in with a 94 PSD motor in it somewhere.

I saw one of the Diesel magazines awhile back run an article about the swap.
6.0 and or 7.3 in a 90's Bronco
Def something I would consider as well!!!!!!!!

Just so happens i have found a good deal on the Bronco, now i just need to find the donor PSD. Definately leaning towards the 7.3. Im sure my wife would love it if i dropped a Big C*****s in it. But i can't even mutter those words much less go through with it!!!

Might be easier to make a PSD into a Bronco than a Bronco into a PSD.

A couple of weeks ago I saw a 7.3 Excursion on Ebay that had the center section cut out to make it a 2 door. It was a pro job and looked sharp. Tried to find it today to post the pic but it is gone.

This is my Photoshopped version:

I really like the cut excursion, however i do like the idea of having the removeable "camper" top in the summer for riding in the mountains

Joe those were conversions done by Centurion. You could get them with a 7.3 or a gas 7.5 and I WANT ONE BAD!

I keep a very sharp eye on CL and ebay for one with a PSD but they are very rare.

If there is ever a vehicle id like to have, it would be a Bronco with a PSD. If i can find a good deal on a bronco and a 7.3, that would be a fun project.

Yeah, I have seen those around and yes they are Centurion conversions. They have a few bad area's that they were known to rust, but i always liked them. There used to be one running around Atlanta when I lived there.
