f350 transfer case yoke

So I got my Dana 60 in (Ill post pics when the camera is charged) looks and drives great. I bought a donner truck for the swap, it was a 94 f350 7.3L IDI. I took the front T-case yoke off the 350 today to put on my T-case so the drive shaft to work but I couldn't get it to go on. Are the splines different from the two T-cases? The 350 T-case is a PTO case so maybe thats the difference. I just wanted some input before I spent the $80 on the spicer 2-4-5441 yoke that Coon posted a while back.

Thanks
John

as long as the donor case is a 4407 it will work, mine was a royal PITA to install over the splines, if you look at the splines side by side you will see that the f250 splines are flatter then the f-350 splines. you can try filing the point off of them or go to town with a hammer and impact.

John, if you could take a couple of pics of that yoke and post them up I would really appreciate it. I have one of the spicer units and would like to compare the splines.

the '94 prob has a 13-56 transfer case while you have a 4407. The model numbers are stamped into the rear half of the case.

The 350 case is a 13-56 I guess that my problem and leads to another question that I can probably answer myself. Are the internals the same in both? (I know two different cases most likely not) But if I wanted to convert the 1356 to a fixed yoke so that could use it and gain a PTO out of it. Is that possible? or should i just get the spicer yoke?

Also anyone know if the two cases are different lengths? I put the 1356 drive shaft up and it looks like it is real close to not being long enough. I figured it should fit perfect. Is there a differnece in a f350 1356 front shaft and a f350 4407 front shaft?

PJwolow, I'll get pictures up ASAP.

the 1356 double cardon yoke is very easy to find, most 4wd places online have it.
