'66 F100 horn mounting

My F100 came with only one (lo) horn that is mounted behind the grille on the passenger side of the rad support, I believe, with one bolt thru the bracket and the bell of the horn facing left.

The parts manual diagram of the horn mounting is a generic drawing that shows one horn each side.

Could anyone tell me or send a pic of where and how the stock horns are mounted? or is there a better illustration than Sec 145, p5, that might help?

Thanks

Custom Cabs came with two horns, Standard Cabs came with one horn.

The original horns used from 1958 thru 1972 (on everything-car & truck) have an adjustment nut...when turned, changes the horn's pitch.

I hated the el cheapo sound of the one horn my truck came with...when I bought it new, so I fiddled round with that nut, got the horn to sound like screetch owl.

My Custom Cab had only one horn when I bought it, but the wiring was there for the 2nd one. ND, did all trucks have the wiring for the second horn? I suppose mine could simply have been missing from PO tinkering.

AFAIK, yes...they all did, because later on, I installed the second horn with no wiring required.

How are these actually mounted? They look like they're coming from the inside of the radiator support. I'm adding a high note today on the driver side.

Two bolts pass through the radiator support from the inside and they go through the threaded holes in the horn support bracket that is attached to the horns. If you have one horn already it might be a sample for the other one if your single is mounted correctly.

I see it now, they go through the wheel well to the radiator support. Got it on and she blows. From the relay only 🙁
