Question on 1960s front crossmember

Im looking at a 1960 F100 with a 6 cylinder. The 6 cylinder won't do for me, I'm hell bent on a v8. I've been looking at these crossmember type engine mounts and I was curious if they get in the way of a stock crossmember? I had a 66 F100 which was easy to swap motors in, I just had to get the perches from various model trucks to mount whatever I wanted, and it had a huuuuuuuge big ol crossmember the perches bolted to. I was just curious how these crossmember mounts go in, if they get in the way of that or if they're mounted behind it, or if the older trucks even have the massive crossmember, as pictured below from the 66 I had. Pardon me if this is a stupid question as I'm not really familiar with old American vehicles...however ask me anything about an early Datsun Z and I could tell you

the older trucks don't have the huge crossmember like the twin beam trucks. so the bolt in style engine crossmember mount works fine.
the only problem you might run into is the rear crossmember interfering with the new transmission fit. the 60 trucks used a front motor mount (off the front of the engine) and mounts on the bellhousing to place the engine and tranny. you might have to remove the rear crossmember depending on transmission you are using and fab up a new transmission crossmember in its place.

Thanks for the reply Mike. Anyone got any pics of the engine bay, sans engine on the older trucks so I can see what I'd be working with? I'm bored and it'll give me something to look at.

I have some pic's of my frame and engine/trans after assembly in my gallery. Not sure if it shows enough for you. I am running stock 292 and C4 conversion.

That definitely helped vbarker, I can see what Mike was talking about now with the front motor mount. I appreciate the heads up on the pics.
