efi for an FE?
#2
I probably am going to use the FAST set up for my 66 F100. I have heard a lot of good things about them, and from what I see on their web site they should be Fairly easy to tune. They always have tech help if you get stumped....EFI on an FE would make it run a bunch better. I use to be a carb only guy. But after driving and racing EFI cars and trucks I am starting to hate carbs. LOL

Are you talking about the EZ-EFI throttle body set up? Here are a couple of short videos.

Here is another similar system from Retrotek Speed (Professional Products)

YouTube - Power TV Powerjection 3 Install
And Holley is scheduled to come out with a new unit as well, early next year.

All three of these systems are said to be "self tuning" I've been looking at all three of them for a few months now and am leaning towards the Retrotek Speed set up. I hope to get one early next year.

I was refering to the F.A.S.T. XFI system in particular. Its a company owned by Comp Cams. www.fuelairspark.com <-Dave->

Yeah. FAST is good stuff. On another note, there is no way that one could install the PP unit in 1 hour unless your car has the ever so convenient fuel pump bracket all ready installed along with that "oh so common" extra bung in the exhaust for a wide band O2 sensor.
Nice unit, but very unrealistic install times.

There is a way to use a stock ford system with electronic distribuless ignition, using a system off of an older 4.6L like in the early 90's towncars, using a crank trigger, and oil plug for your signals. This would be very effecient and accurate especially if you upgraded to a coild on plug but that would require upgradind to obdII i believe it been awhile since ive looked at it but it would be a nice engine,
