abs brake problem

I have a1988 F-150 4.9 two wheel drive 1/2 ton with rear ABS, the brake and abs light come on when the brakes are applied. Also the front brakes will lock up when coming to a sudden stop it acts like the parking brake is applied. Anybody experience this problem if so what did you do to fix it . Also how do you get the ABS codes from the truck to diagnose and does anybody have description of the codes.

these links from autozone should help they are for a 92 that I am currently working on the abs. to retrieve the codes you find the diagnostic plug it has a black wire with orange stripe mine is behind the glove box you ground out that wire with a jumper wire and turn the key to run position and it should flash out any codes

What he says for RABS. However check the brake fluid level and the wiring connectors at the master cylinder.
As for the front brakes it sounds like you have sticking calipers.
