Couple of questions. I have the spartan 250 tune w/ dpf delete. My truck is saying I am getting around 18-20 mpg, but when i do it with the pen and paper it is still around 13-14. Just wondering if it takes awhile for the truck to get used to the programmer for better gas mileage?

My next question is I just installed the afe stage 2 air intake, but the programer is still saying i have intake problem?? everything is clamped good, but the small hose that runs into the covered part with the air filter is a little loose, just wondering why it still is throwing the code?

2008, 250 deisel 4x4 spartan 250, afe stage 2 intake!!!!

 

put the stock intake back on and see what it does. Most aftermarket intakes will throw a code.

If you are doing the math by hand then the mpg you are getting is accurate. The lie-o-meter is just that. Ignore it.

 

That sounds like city MPG's. Is it? Spartan deals with AFE so I don't think you should throw a code for that. What's the code? I have the AFE as well and since I went with the DOC/DPF delete there have been no codes. That little hose does nothing for you with the AFE installed. Leave it in or just remove it from the truck. It won't matter either way.
