New pictures with the Duratrac tires on.

So I finally got new tires. Goodyear Wrangler Duratracs 295/65R18 (33x11.5) on the factory rim. So far, I'm loving them, and they look good.

I've been looking at those also. How much did they cost?

Well, in Canada, these cost about $1460.
But I've been able to find much much cheaper in the states.

They are amazing on snow/ice, and are incredibly quiet for having such a deep tread.

duratrack tires

Yeah that looks good. Do you have a leveling block in the front? Or are the tires clearing stock?

I do have a leveling kit in the front, a 2.5" Rough Country leveling kit.
The pictures were taken in Kanaskis Country up by Elbow Falls, if you are familiar with that area.

I was looking at a set of those for my next tire as well, but I'll probably wait a while until a few people have had them and I can get an impression on the kind of wear and mileage to expect ouf of them. They look damn good though.

I just didn't really want the studding. And if I'm not mistaken, you can only run studded tires a few months out of the year.

Ya that's true there only really are a few months. So how would you rate them for ice from 1-10. I ask cause the highway up here is pure ice most of the year and was woundering about them on ice more then anything

Well there is still a little slide every now and then, but as soon as you let off the gas it stops the slide almost instantly.
As for stopping.... A hard brake will still cause you to slide, but it isn't far. A lighter brake and there is no slide what so ever.

JoSHN...
Good looking truck...I have an '06 F-150XLT Scab, 5.4L V8, Longbed w/ 4.10LS and want to upgrade my wheels. Ya think you could fit 35" tires without rubbing in 2.5" leveling kit? Also is the 1" rear necessary? How much was the leveling kit and tires if ya don't mind me asking? Ya like Rough Country kit? Hard to install?

I've been meaning to update my sig... I never actually put in the 1" block for the rear.
Just to get the blocks for the front would be easily under $100. And the install was very easy. Did it by myself in under 4 hours. Thats including breaks for beer.

And the kit claims that it was designed around 35x12.50 on stock rims without rubbing.

Well, to anyone questioning these tires, They are still on, have about 40-50% tread left, and are still working wonderfully.
This is the longest set of tires I have ever had on any truck now. When I do need to replace these tires, I will be buying them again.
And after almost 2 years and 70,000kms+ of harsh driving, they are still quiet on the highway.
