Looks for the most part to be a good base, but pics can be deceiving... only have to look at the 78 4x4 shortbed I have. Looks great from a distance in pics, but it is hard core crusty...

Good looking truck there... always have liked the looks of those mid-'60's trucks. Seeing one for sale alongside the road is a sure-fire way to get me stopped, everytime.

The cab is pretty rough, but the frame, bed, and other bits are in good order. It sat along side a barn with a camper on it, which saved the bed & top of the cab from most of the elements. It only has 53,000 miles on the original 352 & three speed. Can't wait to dig in
Heard it run for the fist time today...After hooking up a battery, installing a new starter, and a bit of simple diagnosis, it started right up. It's the first time it's ran in ten years. The carb really needs some going through, but the engine sounded descent for the most part.
That's always a good feeling. I was told the 78 was a running motor, but I'll be damned if I can get it to turn over , even with a breaker bar on the balancer bolt...
