I have a 1988 F 250 that had a 10.25 semi floater 4.10 gear ratio rear end. Water leaked into the rear axle hub while it was sitting idle and rusted and ruined the whole interior. I replaced it with a 92 F250 10.25 full float 4.11 gear ratio because it was free. I had a little issue with brake lines but it went in pretty easy. I was told by a few people that the ratios where close enough that it would matter. That there is always a little slip so off road and in snow it should work fine. It didn't. I ran it in four wheel drive for about a mile on a dirt road and the truck ran horribly. A lot of vibration. Luckly nothing broke. Good luck
