The old one was tweaked a bit and this one is just right on open and close.

The find is my granddads 54 that my dad put a 327 in around 1970....I will be keeping it in it's working clothes... need way too much $$$ to get it back to 54 and the "new" hood is a lot better than the old one

Just a suggestion, to keep that from lip on the hood from rusting and holding water, you might want to drill some holes in the bottom of the lip. Mine was done many years ago and saved mine.

Wow, that's a PEACH.

After youdrill the drain holes in it to drain the water, you might think about undercoating up under that lip too!

10-4 on the undercoating, I used Lizard Skin works great.

I'm glad you found one that matched; I hate having to match paint. Actually, that's in better shape than the one that came with my truck.
