Hi, I Am a first time poster here on Ford Trucks. I am a member of mustangforums.com and have received great advice for my 69 coupe and have become adapt to the aspects of repairing and maintaining it. Now when it comes to fuel injection and electronic everything then I become unknowleged and lost.

I found this thread while trouble shooting a simular problem with my 96 Ranger 4.0 and I hope no one minds that I revive it with my own questions.

A short question first, Would it be safe to say, on average, that pressure regulator might be the first to go before the fuel pump?

After running it for about 5 miles I park it for about 10-15 minutes and then start it up again only to have it act like its running low on fuel and the rpm's fluctuate for about 10seconds before it smooths out and runs fine. I hasn't done this on a cold start. Only after it has had a chance to full warm up. I doesn't always do what I described every time but it does it more than not. Is there something else besides the regulator I should consider that may be causing it to run like that?
Thank you,
