Well, I checked for a clogged cat, cleaned the ground wires and I still have the problem. Looks like I will be taking it in to the pros!

One last thing you might do is replace the fuel filter. My '86 had constant problems similar to what you describe, bucking and power loss at speed, and it turned out to be mostly the filter. I used to change it every other oil change after finding that out.
