We are setup to heat with wood (wood stove), radiant that is high on the wall and radiant under floor. We ended up with 3 way heat because we wanted to heat with wood but the bank would not loan money unless we had something more conventional. We chose the radiant electric because it was up out of the way unlike convection electric. We heated nearly 100% with wood for 20+ years, then got lazy and had the under floor radiant put in. We now heat about 25% wood 15% electric (zone heating) and 60% LP fired hot water. We vary the percentages depending on how cold it is and the price of LP.

Nice looking truck. Seeing the old and the new together really emphasizes how much larger today's trucks are compared to their ancestors. I have a fireplace in my new house that I haven't lit up in the past couple of years, but I sure miss my wood stove in the old house!!

My face would have hurt like the dickens from smiling for the 9 hr trip.
Your remake about the Ford Bringing home the Ford is right on the money.
My Uncles farm in CenPenn has a machinery shed of that design - lots of old stuff buried there now.

It was one of the more enjoyable trips home in awhile and I did find myself checking the rear view mirror more often then necessary.

I have wanted a 48-50 for a long time, I was imprinted at an early age when my Dad had a panel delivery for his TV Repair business. I looked through the slides I copies a few years back and found a picture. It is even the same color. Here is a picture from 1953-56 time frame. We moved out of this house in 1959 when I was 10 or 11 so I know it was before that, because he had switched to a Chevy Sedan Delivery by then.
