I am new at this site but have done a lot of work on autos in my 63 yrs. To do a complete frame off and restore will be a very hard task. Yes it can be done. As others have stated you need to look the frame over really good many rust spots can be repaired or new metal welded in. After you have made repairs give it a couple of coats of POR 15 to prevent future rust. The body panels usually need more attention than the frame. Take your time and do it right, learn as you go, do as much yourself as you can and you will not only enjoy this adventure but be proud of your work on this important truck. And keep us posted on your progress and if possible let us see pictures of your work. Good luck with it.

I think "thread start date" is relevant....just sayin'. Not that it's not important, but it's 7 years old. The last post was 12/09.
