Cold air intake

Those of you, that have upgraded to a cold air intake, was it worth it and did you purchase a well known brand? I keep coming back to this decision but having a tough time spending four hurdred bucks.

Not worth it unless you are looking for 'eye candy'. Gotts mod will provide all the air your truck needs.

Great for a little under hood "bling" and some intake noise, but don't expect any measurable power gains on a stock truck.

All they're good for is lightening your wallet. And not much more.

I only paid $260 for my Roush CAI.It was worth it to me just for the sound. There was a slight improvement in throttle response but no major power gains.I just now realized I gained a little bling under the hood along with a cool 4 barrell kicking in type of sound, so I'm even happier with my purchase.

all I did was slice the stock airbox in half and install a drop in K&N filter. looks fine and you get a little grumble from under the hood. the only down side is that you still have that $250 in your pocket. bummer

I did the Gotts mod to my truck as well as cutting and modifying the factory inlet tube to get rid of the resonators.

how did you fill in the hole where the resonator was on the intake? I wanted to get rid of that piece but didn't know what to do with it
