Use Ospho or a similar phosphoric acid metal prep first or you will always have issues with rust coming out from under seams, brackets, rivets, etc.

Yeah, POR15 works well but the proper procedures/instructions need to be followed. It needs to be started with their "Metal Ready" product that goes on with a spray bottle and does like Jim said. Then a couple of coats of POR15, and then any paint that will be in direct sunlight needs to be top coated.
hey guys hope yall are enjoying the snow! maybe one more thing you guys can give me some guidance with, i am screwed with my upcoming emissions test!!!! i just bought my truck and it has smokestacks with no cats, and its only 22 years old, i dont think i can b/s the dmv for 3 years and there is no way this thing will pass, anyway, please tell me there is something i can do besides cutting apart my current exhaust!!??!!
