for me it doesnt bother me one bit... being from the north it doesnt bother me.... matter fact one of the 4 times it has snowed here in the 20 yrs ive lived here... was the year i bought my stang.. my first winter with it it snowed/sleeted for an entire week... i worked afternoon/graveyard... days the roads were "slushy" but at night theyd freeze solid... so when i was getting off at 2am the roads were pure ice... i had no problems driving around on it... but was laughing at the few people that were on the road "crawling" lol..
yup sure have.... my newest 2 are Final Fantasy X and " " X2... beat X during the week... just started on X2... Friday night... theyre new... but old games... bought them mid-end of October...
i tend to play around a bit when im playing RPG games... ill do the side quests and spend alot of time just running around leveling up my characters and stuff....

I have hit ice twice and both times I feel I was lucky. I was driving fast and the car slid but then caught traction and I will tell you that is a real surprise. I just wish it was a different color. Yellow maybe.LOL

bad thing with my area and ice/snow... vdot takes forever to decide to salt and sand... by time they do its usually too late for it to be "helpful"... usually cuz its already started to freeze over.... ntm they only do the major roads... they dont go through doing what theyd consider the "small" streets... for them its just the highway and the main big city streets... everything else is pray you survive...
i remember back home if they even reported ice or snow they were out before the weather got there and while it was there... not like here where they wait till its almost done or too late to be effective...

I think a lot of that is experience. Up north they know how bad it can be and people will most likely get pretty upset if the DOT doesn't provide safe roads. Where you live now, they are not really prepared (or care) to take care of the ice. I could be wrong though.

pretty much... its just they dont care as much really.... other thing is they dont really prepare for it properly either... the one year they were having to truck in salt and sand as quick as possible from neighboring states cuz they didnt prepair for it... they didnt stock enough for it that year let alone budget for it... now theyre budgeting it... and this year they bought extra than what they got previous years... but willing to bet theyre barely going to use it...

I went to church this morning. Came home and had a nice bowl of homemade chicken soup. Linda makes it sooooo good. Especially nice on a cold day like today. I have been hibernating. Too cold to go out.LOL
