I personally feel the ford frame flex is excessive. On my '90 F150, I parked on an angle one time, and the door wouldn't open, I forced it open, it bent the top of the door frame and the door and fender were touching. It took a LOT of bodywork with a hammer to get it to open again.
The same happened on my '88 F150, only both sides did it. It was almost like the whole front clip was too far back.
