help with different pedestal oil leak

In the picture, what is the red circled part on the pedestal? I have a leak in the rear part of the valley on my early 99. I first suspected the o-rings between the block to pedestal or the turbo to pedestal, so I pulled the turbo and pedestal replaced both sets of o-rings. The leak is still there. After using a mirror and a LED light, I think I found the source of the leak to the red circled area. The o-ring (replaced) areas are dry; the bottom (underside) of the pedestal has some oil on it on the lowest spots. The EBPV is also clean. No leaks around the HPOP either. What ever purpose that serves, can I replace another o-ring or how do I do maintenance on it?

There was 2 small orings that came with the kit that I didn't use. I bet they are for that electrical connection.

I don't recall reading of a leak from there before. How big of a leak is it?

That's your EBP connector. Typically you leave the connector unplugged after you gut the EBPV assembly so you don't divert oil to something that no longer exists.

This is what you need to swap the o-rings.

The 2 you need only come in this kit sorry. If you only want those 2 give me a call and I will see if I have some laying out that I can hook you up with.

I have an early 99, will that make a difference?

Also, I'm loosing about a quart every 1500 miles. Most of it ends up on my driveway. I just can't find any other source for the leak; it appears there is oil towards the back of the assembly behind the connector.
