Is this Eastern White or Western Red Cedar?
I don't think Aromatic, or Eastern Red gets that big.

Stumpage prices can't be too high given the market lately.
You might try contacting a specialty mill or selective buyer as they would be paying top prices for unmolested timber.

It's red cedar. I'm not too concerned about the price as I am all that timber going to waste. Sure, it'd be nice to get a pretty penny for them, but that's not what's driving me to find a market.

Southern, way down yonder, down around the northern edge of the Shawnee Natl. Forest. I spent much of my youth up around your neck of the woods, Grandparents owned house near Richmond/Fox Lake on Nippersink Creek and my hometown is Sterling.

Cedar paneling to line closets is a big thing these days. The contractors who specialize in that are damn proud of the cost of their materials. Might be an avenue to explore. I'd also check directly with smaller lumber mills or a specialty wood supplier who might have mill capabilities.

Fence companies use a lot of red cedar.
