Re-Dying Steering Wheel

The interior of my 2001 F-150 is in great shape, except for the steering wheel, where the finish has rubbed off the leather. The leather is not torn or separating. Has anyone re-dyed the leather, or had a shoe repair shop do this ? Also there is a shiny "wear," spot on the Air Bag cover, any idea how to correct this ?

If the grain is gone, then it's hard to do. You might be able to stiple it to get some texture back, but odds is, you can't completely restore it.

Have you looked at Wheelskins? They make a nice leather cover that would take care of the leather.
