Extra thick gaskets

Hi, I used a set of extra thick gaskets I got at Redmond Auto parts and they sealed the headers on both sides. Saved a lot of headaches>

So with that much ridge you'll have to bore it? You could buy my boring bar and do it yourself!

Yep, we are .004 past tolerance, 4 cracked piston skirts, but the bore is remarkably good considering......The motor has 283,000 miles on it and they were not gentle ones. We have a good machine shop in town, and ordering parts thru them will keep costs down. I wish we could afford a boring bar! and thanks for the tool loan offer, we may take you up on it!....At least we have a warm shop to work in!

Very cold here. I don't have a heated shop, so no working on trucks for a while!

I was installing new rubber around the wind wing and putting the window back in and top hinge piece on the window frame broke off. It is made of pot metal. Don is mailing one down, but if you have one, we might sve him the trouble.

I do have a wing window still in the door of my parts truck. Let me know if you want it.

I think the were a type of carbon fiber about 3/8 inch thick. Around $55 if I remember correctly. I'll try to stop over there before work tomorrow and see if I can get better information. You may need longer header bolts.
