You can still use your upfitter switches, just run the power thru a large relay (I use 75 amp depending on the size of the inverter). The good thing about this is when you shut off the truck it goes off. Lastly you can use a cheap extention cord, or on a few I have actually mounted a single outlet on a console then ran the power cable back to the inverter.
