Demand for pocket flares for the Excursion

I have noticed that no one makes flares for the Excursion. With the number of them on the road and the possible amount that would buy flares, those flare sales would be on the low side. But I might could make it happen. I have noticed that most guys that buy the Excursion usually lift them and put bigger tires on them. My question to you guys how many of you think there would be a reasonable amount of sales for these style flares for your truck. Keeping in mind the demand. How many times have people been on here saying they wish there were pocket style flares for the excursion. Please let me know any info you have. It can be anything.

What about the standard flares (Limited/Eddie Bauer) already on it? Would it just be a removal of those and install of the new flares. I would be interested in some.

If pocket style means exposed hardware, real or not, that is not what I'm looking to use.

Andershoberg did a nice job on his but that was his preference. There is a video up now with crazy wide flares on an X in Iceland, or Greenland, whatever. Also not what I'm looking for but still wild.

That is why I had posted about the front flare on the F550, but then there is no rear flare. The Limited package is just that in the flare department, limited. With a five inch all spring lift and 35 inch tires I want some coverage.

If that answers your question.

The front flares for the superdutys work but the rears dont. The rears cover up the edge of the door and you cant open them.

I would need to look into the OEM flares that are on the truck. But like other trucks with OEM flares they would have to come off to put these on.

X-Hibition what would your recommendation be? I know what you are saying about not likeing the Pocket style. But as far as coverage what are you looking for? I do think that the regular wide style flare will come back in style in the future so this might be a idea we entertain.

Stux4 Those look pretty good. Do you have any idea what the coverage is on those. Dont look like much. Maybe a inch or inch an a half. If we were to do a pocket flare it would have 2 inch to 2.5 inch of coverage.

OK folks. I may be old, and forgetful, but I ran into something that might help all you folks with 00-02 Base and
XLT Excursions and for some reason, I remembered this thread. There is a company still making some real nice ones.

A little sleeker, and a mini mud guard drop than the OEM. They look like they will fit any year with the cladding removed and the black quarter panel lower trim installed.

Company called Xenon.

Xenon doesnt show the application on their web site anymore so there is no info on them. Such as what is tire coverage.

What is the difference in the 2000-2002 and 2003-2005? It has to be in the back of the truck cause like the superduty (flare wise) 99-07 are all the same which the X did the same from what I see.
