my truck has 7.3 psd and a 6spd manual. my handheld scanner pulls no codes[bought at napa few years back].I know i have the code 32 from the flashes.what i was trying to find out is if the horn and cruise still work can it be the clockspring bad. If it is some thing else i guess i will try the dealer next week.I am in big spring, texas for the next 2 months[wife is a travel nurse] and dont know any of the garages well enough to know who to trust. most of the garages wont even talk to you if they find out you drive a diesel.I find this strange considering this is a oil refinery town and half the trucks around here are diesel. I was a mechanic back home[n.c.] for many years so i dont like to take my truck to someone else but i also know when i am getting out of my scope of ability. thanks every body for your help

Well, you could take it to F350-6's mechanic, but it is a 5 hour drive each way.

Have you read the Haynes manual's instructions on changing it?

If you feel like that is something you can do, I would still look at doing that.

I changed the steering gear and seat belted the wheel to keep it from spinning.

My help undid the belt and let it spin and I have had the light, no horn and no CC ever since. I am sure it is the clock spring on mine.

Would My Superchips DTC Scanner pick up an airbag error code? I started a thread 'bout this and I had the truck beep at me till I found out the bulb was out... now that the indicator can flash, it doesn't ding, but I still have a problem... my passenger airbag switch isn't working... I tested the harness inside the steering wheel (clock spring???) and it's good... I have cruise and horn so I know that's not the problem anyways. Is the airbag switch a common thing to go bad? If I got a new switch, could I swap out the cylinder inside that's keyed to my truck?
