The IPR unit uses it's own filter housing, the EOT is relocated to the oil cooler Input hose. I would think that being out on top of the oil cooler verses being on top of the block it would be cooler.
Which kit is it?

I have to wonder if Fords values and test criteria even apply anymore.
3 different trucks similiar problems and none of them stock with add-on components.
Maybe you should start shooting things with a infared thermometer and see if you are actually getting as hot as the sensors are reporting. IIRC.

I rechecked the temperature using a infrared temperature gun and the temps are: engine 199 degrees and the oil temp 183 degrees
I installed a coolant filter first before any of the other stuff
International advised me install to keep dabre out of the cooling system. If you have contaminated antifreeze will cause a lot of problems.
I have checked all the parts stores around here and are unable to locate any different ranges of thermostats.
We are at the mercy of Ford or International. Mishie has a higher temp thermostat. There are mixed reviews on it. It seems that most get 1-2 years out of a T-stat.

1 or two years is better than having to stop every 50 to 75 miles to reset computer.
Wow, a thread from 2009. A lot of old faces in this thread. Most have moved on.
Some days I wish the mods had a way to close out older threads. It clutters up the board, and then I find myself going back through the whole thing which sidetracks from the issue many times. Makes it harder to help when you are sifting through crap that is, at times, almost 10 years old and like you said, most of the OP's from the thread have moved on to something else.
