Rookie needs help

So I came across a 39 Ford Truck in "decent" shape... I would love to restore it, to a driver. I am not worried about winning any ribbons just want a fun little truck. I have NEVER dome anything like this before. Do you have suggestions of where to begin, low budget engine tranny combos, and any other advise. I would love to hear what the pros have to say. Really just need a place to start! Thanks

IMHO...

Start from the bottom up-
1. Mechanicals- Wheels, brakes, suspension, drivetrain
2. Bodywork (sheetmetal repair, etc.)
3. Paint
4. Interior/Wiring
