Can't imagine that is anywhere near being the right person to ask. Most sales people I worked with and have delt with would be lucky to know what engine is in the truck. In the older trucks it was a direct swap, but not sure about the newer ones.

Sorry, but I been dealing with this guy for 20+ years, since we both worked at the same dealership. He's one of the GOOD ones, and definetly knows his Ford trucks.

That's good then. A lot of vehicle owners get under the impression that the sales dept is the knowledge source and they aren't. Really, the dealer itself isn't even the best place for information, especially if it comes to swapping things out. This is a case by case basis of course. But over the years I have called up asking about past equipment on a vehicle and they always send me to the sales dept. They usually barely know the current vehicle equipment much less an older one!
