Pride, ah yes.

I don't watch DD, or listen to RL, but I do know 73-75 grilles look the best

Split grills look the best.
'73-75 look the best
'76-77 a close second
'78-79 with square headlights still looks good
'78 with round headlights looks like an afterthought

Regardless, I like seeing trucks with the correct grill for the year. The lone exception to this is when I see a 78-79 Bronco with an early split grill (and a pre-78 hood without FORD letters). That's just plain cool.

My 75 with the proper grill does it for me . Same thing goes for a 69 Mustang . They have attitude .

I wholeheartedly agree with twofifty's order of preference, and in particular the comment regarding the '78 grille with round headlights...yuck!

My '79 sports a '77 grille, but I think I might throw on an earlier one if I find one in good shape.

Regardless, we are really splitting hairs here...dentsides rule whatever the grille!

I think I am one of the minority on here that prefers the '76 and '77 grille.

I've always found the '78/79 front end to look so obnoxious. '76/77 will always be my favourite.

I prefer the 76-77 with the amber turn signal lenses on the trucks. Add on the factory bumper guards or the factory push bar, and that truck just looks pi**ed off. It says (at least to me) go ahead make my day, I'll tear you part. And the truck has the back bone to do it. But on the broncos I prefer the 78 with rectangular headlights. I've seen them with the split 2 piece grilles of the 73-77 with both insert styles and just don't like it.

Yeah this thread is 5 years old. But to me that shows how great this thread is.
