Hood bumpers

Two questions:

1) It would seem there are no bumpers available that go on the hood at the front. I have an extra hood and there is a bumper that is rectangular that bolts on to the front. I bought bumper kit from DC but there doesnot seem to be one with it.
2) Can anyone look at pic below and indicate where these bumpers go ?
Thanks

It looks like you are missing one.
The bolt is suppose to go in a retangular bumper in the nose of the hood.
Here's a pic of the location.

The two large round grommit rubbers are located on each side of the cab for when the hood closes.
The others are from large to small towards the hood nose with the retangular one in the nose.

Just noticed also that you should have
2 grommits for side of cab
2 large bumpers
2 med bumpers
2 small bumpers
1 nose bumper
You are missing the nose and 1 large bumper
That bag looks like a miss-match of bumpers, you should call back to your supplier on this problem.

Bumpers

Dale;

I will contact the local supplier or maybe DC direct thanks.

I did install the two large grommets on the cab; will see if weather is warm enough tomorrow to add the others. Here's a pic of missing bumper in question.

Don't know if you are going to repair that hood.
If you can cut all the spot welds repair, then paint the inside, then weld the braces back in. Clean up and repaint again.

I have a few more photo's in my gallery

Hood repair

Dale;

I got this hood given to me, it is off a 1951 Mercury; at some stage I will repair but for now I have enough on my hands to get my 50 Ford on the road. I have the front badge but am missing the rest of the trim.

Thanks for you input

Tom
