Thanks everyone for the concern. We are both fine and the rest of the day was fine. She did say she will not ride in the truck again but that will change.Ordered a new radiator this morning will be here tomorrow.AS far as letting the wife drive the truck I would not want to be riding if that had happened while she was driving.I don't think she could have kept it on the pavement. Not saying she is not a good driver but she panics a lot easier than I do.

Wayne,
Glad to hear your both ok. I was returning from the ice cream stand a year or so ago with my two kids in 48 F1. All of a sudden there was a explosion under my hood. The engine sounded funny and I thought I had blown a rod or something. When I got home (not too far away) I found out one of my fan blades had broke off and instead of going into the radiator, it went straight through the hood. I believe I have pictures in my gallery. Very scary, my kids were very frightened. I don't think I am going to stand in line with my engine while it's running.
Glad to hear you and the wife are o.k.
