Well I finally replaced the fuel bowl drain valve o-rings. Being a diesel noob I was a little apprehensive about doing this, but all went well. I used the blue o-rings from diesel o-rings.com, I managed not to break anything, only skinned one knuckle and no leaks! The engine valley was full of fuel and the area around the valve was wet, I'm glad I finally did this. No more raw fuel smell at idle now

Congrats on a job well done. You've found a great resource here at FTE. Don't be afraid to ask questions and you'll be amazed at what you can do.

Now just sit back and think about how a mechanic or dealer would have replaced the entire drain assembly and charged you at least a couple of hundred dollars and kept the truck who knows how long. Think of all the guys out there who are paying to have this repair done, and suddenly you're not such a noob anymore.
