Took stock radio out of 92 f150 to put in a cd player
On the 2 pulgs for the stock one there ar 13 wires same as the new one but I have 3 hot wires on the old plugs 1 is hot key on or off and 2 of them are hot key on
I know the key on or off is the mem wire and 1 of the hot key on is power , so what is the 3rd hot for

buy the adapter set.

best 6-8 bucks you will spend.

Well thats all and good but it still doesn't tell what it is for
And around here there like 16 to 20 bucks at the zone and other places

you already cut them didn't you?

the adapters have everything listed.

even at that price it is what you should do.

yeah honestly quicklook those adapter set ups jumped in price -used to be around 6-8 bucks now last I looked they around $20 at walmart still well worth the price though
should be 3 hots one is hot at all times for the memory-one for power to radio and one is for the amp or power antenna if I remember right-the other are ground and speakers and stuff don't just stat cutting and stuff some one did that on my 95 E250 had all the wires crossed up bad ~ was back feeding to the ignition when ya cut the ignition off wouldn't shut off just kept running

found an extra set of adapters.

here is the order on the power plug:

1. 12v batt. constant

2 blank

3 ignition switch

4 dimmer

5 blank

6 ground

7 antenna power

8 antenna turn on
