Cab & Motor Swap

Cab & Motor Swap
background .. doing a cab and motor swap from 1989 F150 Ext Cab w/ 5.0L 2wd (the donor) to a 1987 F250 4wd frame and running gear (the build truck) which had a 5.0L originally ..
I'm sure there will be more questions down the road, but for now I'm on schedule to pull the motor from the donor T-Day weekend .. I have a new clutch kit as I'm uncertain of the condition of the existing, and I'm gonna yank the exh manifolds (and install headers during re-assembly) ...
what else should I out and out replace?
I'm thinking front and rear seals and the pilot bearing, but lack the 'proper' tools ..
.. should I replace them regardless or leave them alone if they look good?
.. any other items that should be tended to with the motor out?
TIA
Pete

Thanks for the info .. I'm gonna order up ..
pilot bearing
front and rear main seals
timing cover gasket and chain
water pump
oil pan gasket
should I replace the oil pump while I'm in there?
shopping around, there are too many options ... is there any benefit to installing a high flow, or high pressure, oil pump in a 'mostly stock' motor? (5.0L EFI, not doing any internal work, just headers and maybe a fresh air intake)

I would replace the oil pump if you have the cash flow. I personally like to replace the parts that do go bad just in case. I just had to replace my leaking lower intake manifold gasket and did a full gasket job (including timing chain & water pump) wile I was in there. Sure would suck to have to take it all back apart later when it can be done now. Unless I have changed the oil pump recently, it gets replaced if I drop the pan. You should be good with a standard OE replacement pump.

Thanks for the quick reply .. adding the oil pump to the shopping list ..
pretty much the answer I expected ..
--- considering the labor involved, it doesn't make sense not to ---
.. guess having someone confirm my thinking is what I was looking for ..
.. before I click 'place order', is there anything else I should consider?
