Blue CPS
What does everyone think of the blue CPS? Is it good or bad?

I have no idea. Wasn't it originally for the DT466?

Yes, it is for the 466 but works well in the 7.3. My son and I are running blue ones in his E99 and my 03. They work well.

I would be skeptical about running a blue CPS with a chip or programmer as I was told it advances the timing

Well I installed one tonight, not that I needed to but just to try one out. I talked with Jody about it and he said it is no problem to run.
Truck seems to like it too.

Can you get them directly from International? I've seen on here that they're out of black CPS's. Are the blue ones the same as the black ones?

Subscribing.
I'm interested in the blue's as well but mostly from a "I hope it's worth it, accurate and much better then the grey's" standpoint.

I've had a blue CPS in my truck for close to 3 years now without a problem.

All right. I'm going to check the local International place anyway and see what they have. If they don't have it, I'll look online. The last time I went there, they had parts that were on their shelves for years. IC boots.

The part no. for the blue IH CPS is 1807339C92. A C93 is a black one which came after the blue one. Don't know if this black one equates to the Ford black one or not. I got this info from a 2006 thread.
Also found this:
perkins engines, perkins diesel engines, perkins diesel, diesel engines
Don't know the price but might be another source for the blue one.
