ah, yeah, I'm pretty sure they won't. Based on my previous experience with stock head units from Fords... you need to buy a special adapter that will plug into the propietary changer port on the back of the stereo that will essentially give you an AUX in for an external device of some sort.
Here is a PDF file I found for dash removal that gets you to the stereo. I've not bothered to start the process yet, since I'm not sure when I'll be replacing the stock stereo in my 2006 F250 CrewCab.

So this is only the first step...getting to the stereo... someone else might chime in for removing the actual head unit.

There is a special u wire that inserts on ea. side of the radio to release the radio. These can be purchased at Wal Mart. , auto zone or similar store in the stereo dept for about 5.00.. There was a thread on the 10th of this month titled how to remove my dash.the second post showed a thread on 2004 led dash lighting that gave great photos on the radio removal . Try a search and see if it gets you there.

The 2005 and newer Superdutys do not use the U-shaped wire to get the stereo out. You have to pop the dash cover off, then you can unbolt the stereo.

06 radio
I agree.....I just traded in my '06, and I had replaced the radio (and then put the stock one back in). It's actually about as simple as can be. All you have to do is pull the dash surround (which if I remember right is all push clips, no screws). Once you have the dash off, there are four (4) screws I believe that hold the radio into the dash sub-structure. Remove those four screws and out pops your radio. You may have to do a little 'untangling' of the cabling to be able to get your hands in behind it to unplug the main harness and the antenna, but that's all there is to it.
I did this back a couple years ago, and installed a Kenwood DNX7100 with all the options, and the whole thing only took me about an hour from start to finish, and that included a bunch of 'fiddling around' with the new head unit (did a couple mods so i could use GPS and DVD while in motion). When I traded it in a couple weeks ago, the straight pull/replace back to the stock radio took maybe 20 minutes.
On a side note.....anyone want a Kenwood DNX7100? Mines for sale with all the extras and pre-wired for the '06!
Hope that helped!

Good link from the SD tech folder:

The dash removal is simple. Hardest part is unplugging all of the connectors behind the dash. IIRC, the bolts that hold the stereo in are 7mm and I just used a 7mm nut driver to remove them.

I replaced the CD/Cassette unit on my 05 with a 6 disc head unit from an 06. You can use a 3/16" nut driver to remove it too. I love the 6 disc, sound is 100X better than the old unit.

I have the Kenwood advertised for $650 plus shipping right now. It includes all the wiring with ford harness (from '06 SD), GPS wiring/antenna, and BT-100 Bluetooth kit (which works fantastic!). I am also throwing in all the faceplate pieces for the '06, and it also includes a remote control.....and comes in the factory box! If you're interested, send me an email at jbaleno@gmail.com I can get you a shipping quote to wherever you might be!
