What is the rear axle under a f-superduty

dana 80 mabe?????????????

has anyone done a gear swap in one

Usually a 10 lug Dana 80.

Ive done plenty of gear swaps in dana 70's and 80's. Piece of cake. It should say on the differential cover what it is. Also stamped on the ring gear is the ratio.

I was looking at driveline.com for higher ratio gear sets. are they pretty good as far as price goes or is there some where else.

I don't know. What are you trying to do actually? Alot of times you can buy a used one off of ebay for pretty cheap.
