:-) Amused by the above styling assessments, it's not exactly modest. Kirk's right - i like that they cleaned up the lines, made it look a little more classy than the previous generation - even with all the chrome and headlights... and at least made it look a little angry in the process. All things considered, I wouldn't buy a truck that looked like it needed a hug. (que replies with prius references)
While I'm not at all fond of the mess the EPA has made, and it at least looks like working on it could require... patience... and a manual... with a map... at least the engineers made great use of the space available considering how much they had to cram in there to meet the new regulations... and still make power. Keep in mind also that most of the mess in the middle is the exhaust side now. Less piping means faster throttle response and less restrictive plumbing. Did you happen to get a look at where the injectors, glow plugs, etc are located?
As compact as everything is, I wonder if they made efforts to make maintenance and basic service convenient. (A good friend has a twin turbo sports car, granted... with some 'unnecessary' bits removed... and after having the engines out a few times - has the notoriously 2nd most overcomplicated sports car to work on ever made ...re-plumbed so that the engine can be out in just under two hours. Dunno if that kind of convenience is cost effective with mass production.)

I saw one in person at the Agribition in Regina. The grille is very prominent (I love it). The fuel door is huge as it houses the traditional fuel cap as well as the exhaust fluid (urea). The only styling change that will take a bit of getting used to is the fender flares - they are quite big, and round.
I would buy it!
