Yeah, these two hour delays just suck. Hell, we did not have 2 hour delays when I went to school. We were lucky if we got a snow day. And no, I did not walked up hill both ways, 10 miles each way barefooted. I walked a half mile to catch the bus, and it did not matter if there was 6 inches of snow or a foot outside. We went to school.

What are we raising today, a bunch of candy asses? I will answer that, YEP!

 

what it is is that to many people are sue happy they sue over the dumbest stuff and the school boards are afraid to take the chance

 

The school board is only afraid of one thing, the teacher's union, nothing else.

 

Actually the school board IS afraid of being sued, and the union. I am a special needs bus driver in Berkeley County, and thankfully we WILL be taking kids to school tomorrow. But, get this we have a "MANDATORY CHAIN USE" for tomorrow, even though many of us have dry blacktop on our entire routes. Now, what sense does that make ??

Here we have had only a couple days of school since the first storm way back in December.

I just hope the local kids get done with this years classes before they have to start next years at this rate.

Most of the secondary roads here are so narrow with snow on the side of the roads, I would hate to meet a bus with my plow on.

 

Dave said a dirty nasty bad bad word. And he is a moderator. Going to have to report him to the top of the FTE ladder.

Well we still need to figure out when and where we can meet up.

Who wants to drive where and when they want to be where ever they are driving.
I guess I am the lucky one, Wheeling, Martinsburg, Huntington and Lewisburg are all about the same distance from me.

So let's hear some places you all want to meet and when you want to do it.

 

I thought we had penciled in Bridgeport for April 10, the only question was where in the Bridgeport area.

That date's actually approaching fairly rapidly!

Here's what I have....10 April in the Bridgeport area...but no specific location yet.

8 May in the Charleston Area...maybe Coonskin Park (by the Airport).

I'm still working in DC M-F through the end of April so the 10 April meet may get tough on me...but I should be good for the 8 May meet.

Well if 3P comes up, we better do Meadow Brooke Mall so she can play in the snow.

I am sure the piles will still be rather large in April.
