rear axle centerline

Ive searched a bunch but cant find exactly what im looking for..

im in the middle of putting an 8.8 rear and 4-link rear in my 48 f1 and am looking for some measurments of the rear axle centerline...like maybe from a reference poin like the babk of the cab or the rear crossmember. I am just having a hard time centering the wheels in the rear wells with this new rearend.

i am also going to c-notch it which is another reason for the measurments.

any help is geatly appreciated.Thanks

some of the f-1 guys should be along shortly... but try this.... I think your wheelbase is 114"... measure from the front hub center line back to the rear and mark it at 114" or there should be axle snubbers mounted in the hump over the rear axle... these are usually right on the money for the center line

It's entirely possible the wheels weren't perfectly centered in the fenderwells to begin with, from the factory. I may be able to get you some kind of reference this weekend, but if you have an axle in place and a bed with fenders mounted, you should be able to center it up by eyeball and measuring tape just as well, if not better, per your application.
