5.0 ignition system. which one???
ok guys so i'm all but ready to drop this engine in my F150 and start screwing up all my wiring b/c i'm still confused on the mass air system. BUT im trying not to think about that right now. the question at hand is whether i should stick with the stock ignition system OR if i should run MSD?? Do y'all think i would benefit from using an MSD distributor, coil, and everything?? if so which stuff should i get?? like the pro billet distributor, blaster coil or what. i saw they had a bunch of different distributors and boxes... is accel as good as MSD???
if you don't already know this is whats in the engine, 9.08:1 flat top pistons, GT40P heads, typhoon intake, B303 camshaft, forged 1.72 roller rockers, and probably going to use 24lb injectors for now. not sure which throttle body to go with yet b/c i don't know what i'm going to do with the mass air system yet.

You can't go wrong with MSD or Accel - they're both well versed and more capable than the stock ignition system. Yes, your stock ignition system will work, but aftermarket systems will work better. Both MSD and Accel's distributors and coils are high quality goods. Mallory makes some nice spark goodies too.
Going with an aftermarket ignition system gives you better adjustability over stock equipment, greater reliability (the Pro-Billet distrubutors are bulletproof if you ask me), and they claim to improve fuel economy with the multiple the spark systems. Get ready to spend some cash though.
