The way to go with our trucks is a Tony Wildman, DP Tuner, or a PHP tuner.

We are all pretty mixed on all 3.
Each has their own benifits.

Anyone who's had an edge in here has had problems by my recolection.

If you take a look at the pictures in my how too (last link in my sig) you'll see how they work.

PHP is okay.
Depends on what you want to do.
I was going to get a TW, but the PHP price was just right.

My PHP chip should be here tomorrow. Heard lots of good things about all three. If you order a PHP chip directly from Power Hungry Performance you can order it with only 1 tune, or 2, 3, 4, 5, or 6.
It's cheaper for less tunes and you might not need all 6.

There's a way to change the tire size but I can't remember what site it was. You have to jump two wires under the glove box and then use some math equation for tire diameter and put it in the odometer... and you can only do that 6 times or something. Or a dealer can do it for you.

Welcome to the Forum! Great guys on here!

6pos chip is not more expensive then 1 pos chip from PHP
Same chip.

Jim was telling me with the programing that its easier to program a 6 pos with 1 or 2 tunes, then it is to try and program it to only have 1 or 2 tunes.

380 from Jim at Rosewood I think is what he charges.
You just missed his sale, I picked mine up for 300.

What I meant was that you can buy the 6 position chip with only one or two tunes on it for cheaper than Jim sells them for fully loaded.

I got mine for $300 right at the end of the sale! Got shipped out Friday, can't wait!

I agree with the opinions of the chips, I have TW. but without bigger injectors you are not going to have a 100HP increase. Mostly 50-70HP.

And also Welcome to the forum and to the PMS.

I have run the edge for over 100,000 miles, I only run it on the 60 hp setting so i have the rev limiter. I have never had an issue with it. I also never hot rod my truck either, I don't even run it above 2500 rpm. all stock except the down pipe and the 6637 filter.
I consistently get 17.8 MPG unless I am towing than I get 11 MPG.
I did run the 80 hp and 100 hp settings once but the throttle was too sensitive to be comfortable driving.

Yea, that's why I avoid my 140 setting
I'm affraid my foot wont want to come up, and my DMF might decide to stop working as well.
I'm glad to hear you have no problems with the edge though!

As for the chips.
TW charges less for chips with less tunes on them.
As far as a PHP goes from Jim. I think he will sell them for normal price with 1 tune or 6.
Not sure on that though.
You'll like your PHP chip. I enjoy mine. I am going to take it over to TJ and let him try it out. He said he enjoyed the ones he put into customers trucks as well.

The PHP chips dont smoke a lot compared to the DP's and the TW chips.
So if your looking for a smoke show, your not gonna get it.
Mine barely smokes in the 140 hp setting with WOT.
hell, it smokes more on startup then it does in the 140 setting, just the 140 setting puts out black smoke, not white. haha.

Good point to know that William.
Well, also if you dont have bigger INJECTORS you are not going to get a lot of SMOKE.
