Very nice job! Crazy work you did on the bed!

I looking to buy a 78/79 to do a similiar project as you did. My dad had a '78 Ranger XLT that is the exact paint as yours (also had a 79 Bronco at the same time). I am a mechanic, not a body guy. It seem impossible to find a completly rust free bed.. any tips on what is the eaist rust to repair (or cheapest when you have to pay a shop to do it)? Rust above wheels, rust in bottom of bed etc. Any hidden spots to check on these trucks? My tread is here https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/1...rust-free.html Sorry dont mean to hijack your thread.. just want dads old truck back too.

Wow that is an awesome story and SUPER truck! I really think the resto is awesome! Would you want to let the old wheels go for a bargain to someone who would put them to awesome use, would you? If so, e
mail me at brucesanders@att.net. Thanks!!

Everytime somebody posts in this thread I see the documentation on page 1, then I watch the whole video on page 4 or wherever it was and I can't help but drool! Man this has got to be the nicest and most documented dentside ever. Someday mine will look just like this one inside and out.
