I have a truck for sale. It was a fire house truck for most of its life, and was legally converted to be so from factory. Body is rough around the edges, but has NO rust. 136xxx miles. 7.3 liter diesel. C6 auto transmission. Manditory, state funded service for its entire life (until I took ownership). Great truck.
I have replaced:
Glow Plugs (correct Motorcraft units)
Injector Caps
Injector O-rings
Fuel Return Lines
2 Batteries (8 months old)
New Alternator (Brand New)
New U-joints on the rear driveshaft (others are fine)
Transmission Fluid and filter (rubber pan seal)
All 4 tires are new w/ 1000 miles.
Truck comes with brush guard, huge toolbox, and spot lights.
There seems to be an air leak somewhere in a transmission line as of the last time I messed with it (I know little about transmissions). The transmission was replaced with a new one a few months before I bought it. It is jumping over 2nd gear right now. I would have it looked at, but I drive it all day every day with no issues. Has upgraded suspension from factory (the firetruck thing). I dont know exactly what, but I can put a load of plywood in and it wont squat an inch!
Truck is still for sale! Its been so long since I posted that. Many new parts on the truck. For one, a black paintjob.
New Radiator with coolant flush and correct low silicate coolant, brand new alternator (again), fuel filter, return lines and o-rings (went with viton seals this time for use with biofuel), battery cables and connectors.
The price has, however, gone up a tad.
