Ignition module question

I've read on a few posts about black vs. gray ignition modules for these trucks. What's the difference and what make one "better" than the other?

I have a 1993 5.8 EFI motor in my F250, and would like to know which would be better for this application.

Thanks

Grey TFI modules are used on Push Start systems, where the ignition dwell is controlled solely by the TFI module. Black TFI modules are used on Computer Controlled Dwell systems, where the ignition dwell is controlled by the ECM. According to the wiring diagrams I have, your truck uses the Push Start system, and therefore should have a grey module. The CCD system began in 1994 for those trucks.
