06 f250 w/5.4 loses throttle and will just idle until restart. Giving P2112 & P2104 codes. Please send any info. Thanks Lee

Hey Lee!

Keep using the forums as you are you will get good help. It's fixable, but will take a little time to nail down what the problem is with the TBS sensor and how far you need to go.

Sounds like the throttle body is stuck closed and the PCM has gone into forced idle.

Look here, page 86 and 96 for P2112, and page 93 for P2104: http://www.motorcraftservice.com/vdi...f/OBDSM608.pdf

Throttle plate is stuck closed, and PCM goes into limp mode. Either the throttle plate is really stuck closed, the actuator (servo/motor) the moves the throttle plate is bad, or the PCM can't move it because the PCM output is bad.

Most likely, the throttle plate is stuck.

Most likely, you need a new throttle body.

Thanks for the info. Will let you know how I made out. The throttle body is most likely a Ford Dealer only part.

I don't know the actual safety concerns involve, but if it were me, I'd check the throttle body just to be sure it moved easily. If it does, and you still get the "stuck" code, I'd wonder if the actuator is bad or something else was going on.

Of course, the actuator is not available separate from the throttle body I believe.

5.4 throttle body

Will try to clean it and see if it's binding first. Thanks again..
